    Mary Pedraza

    I am from a large family of 8 children.  My parents raised me in a suburb of Los Angeles, where I was able to go to the beach frequently and spend my summers in Catalina Island.  I love the ocean, but have learned to admire and respect the desert!

    I love spending time hiking, swimming, biking with my husband of over 20 years, and our only daughter, Jeannette. We take every opportunity we can to visit family along the coast of California.  We hope to muster the courage to someday visit Colombia, where my husband was born, raised and formally educated.

    While I do not have any hidden talents, I love to cook for the people I love, and even do the dishes.

    I was inspired to join MDS when I called about an assistant’s job and Ms Pat’s English accent was so warm and inviting.  Also, my daughter loved the campus, plus Concho, the office cat at that time.  Jeannette started as a 2nd grader in Ms Renee Montes’ JE-1 class.

    I really love to teach…but I like to learn more.  I am full of energy and passionate about gaining more knowledge.  I learn every day that I am at MDS.  The students have been my best teachers and make me aware of how to become a better person daily.
