EJ Turner
I love spending time with my family – my husband and two children, ages 7 and 11, and my cat and dog. I enjoy hiking, cooking, puzzles and games. I love going to concerts and watching basketball, and I love the Suns and Mercury!!
Before joining MDS, I taught special education and I also taught 3rd grade at a traditional public school for 7 years. I enjoyed teaching there a lot, but then I discovered the Montessori method and all of my dreams came true about the ideal educational environment! Students inherently are curious and eager to learn. Students are free to learn and grow to their fullest potential in the Montessori classroom. They are independent, responsible, and hard-working.
I love seeing my students happy, confident, and having fun learning. We spend a lot of time learning about virtues, and students know that the foundation of our peaceful classroom environment is kindness.
