Renee Montes
I am originally from Newark, New Jersey. I have 3 older sisters, 2 nieces, 4 nephews, and 2 great nephews. Family and traditions are very important to me. In 2002, I moved to Phoenix, Arizona to be closer to my family and escape the snowy cold winters.
My favorite things to do outside of work are walking trails, camping, reading, and crafting. I also enjoy spending quality time with my boyfriend, Steve, and our dogs, as well as with family and friends. Crafting has become a huge consumer of my free time since I discovered the world of Cricut and sublimation! I enjoy making custom t-shirts, cups, ornaments, and other items.
I was inspired to join the MDS team because of the way the Montessori philosophy was so evident within the staff. I was excited to have the opportunity to help make a difference in the lives of the students. The thing I love the most about my job is the ability to help guide my students to become lifelong learners and to watch them grow academically and emotionally.
