Outside of work I enjoy quality time with my family. You’ll likely find us building something in the garage, playing a board game, or in our home garden.
I love jigsaw puzzles! My husband bets I could complete a 1,000 piece puzzle in less than 24 hours, although I have yet to try it.
I had taken a break from the classroom when my son was born to focus on providing enriching experiences that helped him explore the world. When he started Kindergarten I began putting my efforts into volunteering at his school. Being around the campus regularly, I witnessed first-hand how MDS’s team of educators sees the positive potential of each and every student, making it their goal to help them achieve it. I knew I wanted to be a part of that. When a Kindergarten teacher position opened up, it was fate!
I love teaching this age group because it is a child’s first taste of true independence from home. It is a privilege to guide my students as they learn about themselves and the world around them.
