    Patricia Freeman

    I was born and raised in London. My late husband was in the U.S. Air Force, and we and our two children lived in Texas, California, Washington State, and Illinois, before settling in Arizona.

    I love to walk briskly at lunch time around the lovely hills of the MDS neighborhood, and in the evenings at home with my big Golden Doodles, Kruzer and Moon. Over the past 20 years, I have seen most of the world. I think there is no better way to understand different cultures, be tolerant of our differences, and appreciate that no matter where we are from, we are all more alike than we are different. One of my favorite places to visit is the Republic of Ireland, where my sister and her family live. I spend time with them every summer.

    In 1995, I was invited to come to Montessori Day School and meet one of the founders, Peg Huffman. Before I knew it, Peg had become a wonderful friend and mentor, and within a very short time I found myself elevated to the position of Director of the Mountainside campus, a role I have happily played for the past 30 years.
